is there more than one plastic cover? because ive taken the main one off, and i suppose theres another one up near the steering column.
I don't know your car specifically, but most hush panels are 18" square, usually hold the OBD 2 port plug and sometimes a floor light. You should be able to see the bottom of the steering column and all sorts of other scary stuff once it is removed.
