97 SL320 single button remote won't unlock. Checked the remote with camera and the fuses. Everything checked out. Any help thanks

Try resyncing the remote to the car.

Point remote at the door handle receiver.

Press the remote button 2X

Insert key in ignition and turn to run.

Remote now should work.

The other way to test remote batteries is to press and hold the button, the red window on the remote will blink if the batteries are OK.

Mine quit remote functions a while back and I haven't bothered to do investigate. There is a module in the trunk near the gas fill that controls the remote locks. From what I recall, a 2nd module in the same area works the alarm system. I've got one of these unplugged because the alarm would go off even when the key was used,

i have 2000 c280 wi not lock but it unlocks doors and trunk with remote key dont know what to do . if some one knows will be nice.

This should have the multi button "smart key" ( no metal key portion though there is a emergency key clipped to the key. )

This might have the same hold a button for 5 seconds and look for a red flash at the end battery test. If not, find an auto parts with a remote key tester and see if it works.
