Early vs late w202 springs?

I have a 1995 C36 that came with a set of lowering springs in the trunk. They're purple, I was told they are Vogtland , but the important thing is they're about the same overall diameter with a smaller wire diameter with tangential ends like a 210. They are also nearly 2" shorter. My car has one tangential end with a flat end like a 124/201/129 etc and my collection of w124 spring shims work.

I've been told this is because I have an early 202 and these are for the v6/v8 cars. Can I retrofit these? It seems unlikely.

Well replying to my own thread again haha. I went for it on the front and they fit in the front with some 3 bump w210 spring shims my friend had. Going to order some more shims for the rear in the next couple days and see what happens.

Put the springs in the rear now too. They are vogtlands. With a w210 3 bump pad up front and 4 bump in the rear the car sits really nice and handles well.
