Transmission Identification Help Please
 
I have a 1995 E320 MB but I need to identify the transmission.
Is there a plate where I can find this elusive transmission model number?

The pertinent numbers are stamped into the right side pan rail of the main transmission case, just above the pan gasket surface.

You might also google "Mercedes VIN decoder" and put your VIN. Gave me all the fine details on my trans.
