Lack of acceleration????

This is a followup on my low idle on cold start. I still have this problem, but today I notice that after coasting for a bit before stopping and then accelerating the engine almost stalls. Run great at speed or around town. I had this problem some time ago after coasting for some time coming down a mountain road. Car would hardly move after I stopped. Problem went away as I drove on. Does the switch on the throttle linkage have anything to do with this or what about the fuel accumulator. I have new fuel filter and OVR coming next week. I read that it could be the ignition coil. Any thoughts?

Sorry I forgot to add this. 1992 300E with 50,000 miles. The acceleration problems seems to be getting worse each day. Injectors and seals are new, distributor cap and rotor, plugs and wires new, O2 sensor new. IAC valve seems to be working. Will be installing new fuel filter and OVR next week. Would a failing EHA or ignition coil be suspect? What else. Starting to be concerned about total failure and be out on the road somewhere.

What position is the economy gauge sitting at tick over ?.Thinking of vacuum leak .And another is check all the fuses in the fuse box You coil could be going down = weak spark Switch for the throttle must be closed or in as the quadrant pushes it ,

All fuses have been replaced with new ceramic. What does the switch on the throttle control?

Been there, done that, recently. EHA and O2 sensor need a good look, as well as hosing down the entire intake side of the engine for vacuum leaks. My issue turned out to be one BIG vac leak (injection unit boot not fully sealed on the intake manifold) and a bunch of smaller ones (rotten vac hoses, brittle and cracked IACV hoses, injector seals and such), as well as a bad EHA (fuel smell under the hood) and a dead O2 sensor, likely damaged by all the above. I like to use CRC brand MAF cleaner to check for leaks as it doesn't harm plastics and rubber and doesn't leave any greasy residue.

Replaced the coil and OVP no improvement. Have not installed the fuel filter but will do soon. Unfortunately my mint 300E just got smashed in the rear. Any one know of a very low mile 124 for sale.
