Manual swap W201 - clutch line details?
I'm doing a manual swap in my W201. I got almost all the parts and I am getting ready to drop the auto trans next weekend. I figured it would be a good idea to fabricate a clutch line before putting the manual transmission in it, because there won't be much space after it is installed.
I see that the slave and master cylinders use an inverted flare. The thread seems to be M12x1, but I don't have a pitch gauge so I cannot confirm. Does someone know/remember the thread on the cylinders? I bent a 3/16 brake line on the transmission: https://i.imgur.com/A69qAvel.jpg Does someone know if the OEM line is 3/16 or 1/4? Does it matter? (I guess not...) |
I'm not able to answer your questions unfortunately, but I'm interested in what you found out as i might venture down the manual swap road at some point...thanks

Thread of the fittings is M12x1.0.
