steering wheel shakes

hey i have a 01 benz c240 6speed (rwd) i have a realy bad shake in front end and in the steering wheel when i hit 35+mph but when i lightly step on brakes it stops iv looked at bearings everything looks tight iv grabbed n shook each part n everythings tight and also i got new rims n tires jus to make sure the rims wasnt bent and still a nogo

Inspect thoroughly for any loose parts again and replace the steering dampener/shock.

It's a w203. There is no steering damper, it has rack and pinion.

To the OP: Your control arm bushings are shot.

More likely outer tie rods, possibly LBJ's........

Thanks for the info about no dampener...rack and pinion...should have known.
