C3 V C4

My C3 MUX has gotten to the point where it only accesses certain modules when it wants to. I have had it for quite a few years now and I think its just worn out. I need to get a new set I guess and I really only see the complete set, not just the MUX. So I will get a whole new set. I am debating on getting another C3 or going C4. Thoughts on that? I can't remember where I got mine last time but does anybody have any experience with any of the sellers on Aliexpress? That seems to be the cheapest place to find the. Also, if I go c4 will it work with my existing Xentry/SDS system I am using with my C3 or does it require a different version?

I'd go c4.

Don't bother with the wireless...wired is So much more reliable.

China is china...biggest thing is finding a vendor that will support their wares.

By wired do you mean connecting it with LAN rather than messing with WLAN? Do you know of the C4 will run on my current version software I am running on my D630 laptop? Or does it require different software? On the screen shots for a lot of the C4 systems I see on Ali it looks like they are running Win7 instead of XP, which is a huge plus.

What date is your software?

C4's can do bluetooth but its not always reliable.

I will have to look when I am out in the shop tomorrow but I think its about a 14 or 15 version. I have also thought about just buying the complete package with a toughbook.

I would need a date...i can't begin to imagine what number we're up to know. At we updated last month to 7/18. It's a HUGE program...we run on dell m6800's with 4k displays, maxed out ram and the latest ssd's. Otherwise it takes Days to open the software.

I'd recommend buying it setup/ready to go. It's worth the added expense imho.

I just checked an my version is 3/14 running on a Dell D630. I would love to just order the whole deal with a toughbook, but it is probably going to be a lot cheaper just to run it on my current laptop which works fine. On the other hand, having a spare (current laptop) is always good.

That's Really old....c4's can be had cheap so maybe talk to the seller...but I'd be inclined to pony up for Everything or if you want to stay on the 630 grab a spare c3 or 2.
