Physical Location of Fuse

Does anybody know where I can find "F22/1 Auxiliary Fuse Holder (trailer hitch/HS)" The HS is for Heated Seats. This 16A fuse feeds the Front Heated Seat Control Module in my '91 560SEL. I looked in the online Body & Electrical manuals but while it is shown on the wiring diagrams for the heated seats, there is no clue as to where it is physically located.

I don't know for sure but I'd be looking for a fuse box in the trunk. It might be visible just by looking or might be under the spare tire cover or in the quarter panel area behind trim panels. On some cars the fuel pump relay is in the quarter panel area as well.

Also look under the rear seat.

W126 doesn't have a fuse box in the trunk. It is under the hood by the brake booster.

D-man:

By '91 there may have been a change to a separate fuse holder, however, at the beginning of the 126 GenIIs ('86) the front seat heating was through Fuse #19 in the main fuse box.

Thanks Frank. Fuse #19 still lists the Heated Seats as on that circuit, but my wiring diagram also shows a separate Aux. Fuse for the Front Seats.

The heated seats changed in 1989. '86-87 used one design, '88 used its own, and '89+ used a different one. I mean how many times can you redesign the same thing? Mother Benz knows best...
