Sourcing a W124 M104 ETA

I wanted to get some folk's opinions on buying a new ETA for my w124 m104.

Trying to decide between buying a refurbished one w/ lifetime warranty for 600, or getting something cheaper from ebay or the forums. I've found a few ETAs manufactured in the 2000s (so no wire issues) for less than half the reman price.

Kind of torn on this so if anyone has encountered a similar conundrum, your experience would be valuable.
