Hello,

need some help identifying a component in the engine bay located over the suspension hump right side also position in front of the battery. has two wires connected to it.
looks like an advance retard resistor module?

part # is 000 545 89

any ideas

Possibly a fuse for the armrest mounted optional phone?

hmm, if its a fuse you cannot open it.

It also looks like the "Reference Resistance" module thats on the earlier e300's for advance and retard control.

If the wires are red/white then it is the cell phone fuse f22/2 8 amp

Have a look at that part number again. You are missing 2 digits.
