Shakey start

I have a 1983 380SL when starting after overnight has a very rough idle,
With a little black smoke,I hold the rpm around 1500 after about a minute and a half I hear something making one pop and the engine smooths right and runs
Fine all day,next morning same thing.Any thoughts. Thanks Russ
