W124 engine harnesses

Is there a place or person that sells new engine harnesses?

speednjay 07-06-2019 05:13 PM

New part from dealer is $1600. Is there another option?

Ebay.

There are two part numbers of replacement harness. 124 440 5632 which is for M104 W124 cars built '93-late '94 and 124 440 2933 for cars in '95.

Both replacement are made by Delphi. Delphi were making them for Mercedes from approx 1998.

The delphi labels were either grey or white with the part number written on it. The white label later harnesses are better.

Expect to pay $200 - $500 for a used replacement harness.

Search by part number on ebay.

I’ve already bought an used updated harness from eBay ($400)and it appears to be junk. Too much money down the drain. I need new or rebuilt

Why is it junk? What symptoms are you having? I have seen dozens and dozens of delphi harnesses and I have never seen one that was "junk". Sure some of the clips are broken, but the clips are easily replaced.

Did you buy a harness and the cam sensor wire was cut or damaged? Sometimes installers can damage the harness by poor routing and being crimped. I've seen the crank sensor wire damaged on the 2933 but never a cam sensor wire.
