Just bought a 1981 280E. Mileage is about 10 MPG.

Engine should be almost new, with about 66,000 certified miles.

Other than air filter, fuel injector cleaner, new plugs and rotor, is there anything else that should be adjusted or replaced?

Is there any trick, e.g. advancing timing above spec?
