W126 vacuum modulator

Having very hard shifts and going to try and adjusting the modulator. I remember there being a thread on this website i believe. I cant seem to find it though. It went through the entire process and listed recommended pressures for the varying transmissions.

I don't have my model yet i plan on doing the job this week sometime but wanted to have the necessary information before i started. I pretty much know the process of doing it mostly need the pressure adjustments. If anyone has them or can point me in the right direction greatly appreciated.

modular pressure by your transmission model:

Today's Atf has different friction modifiers than original Dexron 3 (NLA) so setting it by feel on a smooth/slightly firm side (less wear) is not a bad idea. Especially since it doesn't require any gauges/fittings

Wow this seems to be exactly what i needed. Just hope my transmission is on the list i should be getting to it tomorrow hopefully. I will also definitely take your advice on setting it by feel i however have all the tools so i think ill get it in the ballpark first with the gauge.

From what i have read before CCW=less psi=smoother correct?
