88 300E fuel pump replacement,
 

My fuel pump appears to be leaking where it is crimped together. In looking up the options here at Pelican, I am greeted with an " early or late " option depending upon the number of the chassis number.

Where do I find this chassis number or is it important..? (I can not see any difference between the two pictures)
