380sl type 107 auto trans.
 

Does any body know if my 380 sl auto transmision needs any servicing other than oil and filter change. When cold and changing from 2nd to 3rd there seems to be slippage for 2 to 3 seconds, i have been told maybe the brake bands need adjustment. It's a early 83 euro model, when it's warmed up it seems o.k. Any help would be most appreciated.

No band adjustment on that tranny. Sounds like it could benefit from one half to one turn of modulator though (clockwise). maybe slightly less control pressure (cable adjustment)
