w126 SLS rear suspension sag questions (and lowering options?)

Hi, I have a 1989 300SEL with a sag in the rear suspension, due to a pump for the sls according to the previous owner.

I am wondering if it is safe for the car and driver to leave it sagged even though the sls probably isnt working properly, and just lower the front end to the same height as it is a nice height. Or should I fix the SLS and then get a full set of a lowering springs for the SLS models if I can find them?

thanks!

I'm pretty sure that the 300sel didn't come with the sls system. Only the 560sel and sec. You may have worn springs.

Before you spend a lot of effort and money on rear springs, check the differential mount - a relatively inexpensive part. The mount is usually the primary reason for rear end sag on a non-sls system car.
