Inexpensive Diag scanners and the 38-pin connector on a '98 E430
Recently replaced the conductor plate and connector plug. I need to clear the codes to get the car out of limp mode, the shop wants 100$. However If I could buy an inexpensive scanner to keep it with me it would be useful as opposed to pay a shop.
Any ideas? |
I don't own one yet, but am planning to purchase this soon:
https://www.amazon.com/FOXWELL-NT530-Mercedes-Multi-System-Diagnostic/dp/B07XQGSS48/ https://www.amazon.com/FOXWELL-Adapter-Diagnostic-Connector-Mercedes/dp/B07ZRDB3CY/ I don't think any of the cheapo OBD scanners will do what you need. |

I bought one of the higher end harbor freight scanners for about $180. I got no complaints
