211 2008 Seat sensor pivot point bushing
2 Attachment(s)
In my 2008 e350 the seat was moving with the weight of the passenger and disassembly shows that there is a bushing on the pivot point that sort of dissolved. Couple of pics attached. I want to source the nylon bushing, with some help here. Otherwise I can buy the whole seat adjustment sensor for about $250 from the dealer. I need two, one fore and another aft. I've looked around online for the bushing, but nothing pops up. Not sure if this is something that could be 3d printed - it really needs to be pretty solid to survive. Pic on the left is the bolt with the half of the bushing.

I thought I'd add a note since I solved the problem, at least for now. That bushing would be very hard to source so I decided to use two regular rubber o rings to "fill" the space. I just got a few from the hardware store and they squished in the space when I tightened the bolt down. Seems to hold pretty well, taking up the slack and making the seat feel stable. They may last a while or not. But they aren't hard to change now that I know what is the issue. There is no compromise of safety here because the bolt itself is not going to break if there is an impact or accident.
