CLK 200 Warning light

On my 1999 CLK 200 i sometimes get a BAS.warning light appear which i believe is something to do with the brakes. It seems to reset itself when the ignition is switched off, the manual says contact a Mercedes benz workshop, can any one tell me if they have had this problem ?
