The car has 128k, rebuilt trans,new upper and lower harness. New eta ,water pump,rebuilt power steering hydraulic pump.engine and trans mounts. I have not driven yet. All work done in the last few weeks

Sounds like some of the "right stuff" has been done.
I strongly advise you get a full pre purchase inspection, before making a commitment, on any car.

Definitely recommend doing some research over at the 500e board .co forum. It’s by far the most knowledgeable forum for the V8 powered W124s.

if I remember right the biggest scam job they talk about on the 500E/E500 site is the cover-up of rust in the trunk area and around the front springs.
