1990 300E Cluster dead

The only working mechanism is the speedometer.

What are the typical causes? Fuse? Electrical?

Passenger side front seat won't work. Is this usually the switch or motor?

Finally, the engine light is on. Actually it has been on for about two years. I know this is smog related. What usually goes out?

The car has about 80k on it.
