The OP's complaint seems to be about mis-posting, and/or mis-use of PP forums. Is the OP's post on the subject of:
"Technical Discussion of Gasoline-powered Mercedes-Benz automobiles"?

My cars never give me a problem..

Frank - disagree; I think the OP is saying that about 90% of the new threads he sees are political and not Mercedes. I see the same. If they would just put these at the bottom of the Mercedes related threads I would be happy because I hardly ever read them but have to sort through them to ferret out the threads about Mercedes.

Wondering if different ways to open up the forum give you different views?

I agree with OP and some previous posters.

1) book mark the section you want to start in, then after exhausting that check your CP

2) I agree that an algorithm that keeps OD out of 'new posts' would be a good thing. Probably easy to hook up. Ask some kids :D

It is nice to have a MB site. and nice that this MB site sponsors the OD section.

tyl604, Exactly, you nailed it.

The link in my "favorites" is as follows:

Tech Help - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

It takes me directly to the shopforum/tech-help home page with the thread listings. I rarely look at any of the other many sub forums on this site. Most automotive sites have "off-topic" sections. I guess they might be useful if you have absolutely nothing of productive value to spend time on, but some might find them "entertaining".

That is likely the problem that some have. If they want to get direct to the Mercedes tech subforums, they should be using your link (I use same one). I had to look hard to find the off-topic links. Only place I found them, was by going to Quick Links and then New Posts. Why go there at all? If you go to each sub forum you are interested in, the new posts are highlighted and there are none that are off-topic.

I just stumbled across this thread, maybe it's because some use their cell 'phones instead of a computer ? .

This has never been an issue for me, I log on and go straight to the Diesel section .

Agreed that putting the off topic section to the bottom would help, it'd help those who like it best to find it faster and easier too .

I count 16 of the first 26 posts today are Off Topic. Why not put them at the bottom of a Mecedes forum?

But for Site Feedback, the Off Topic discussions are at the bottom of the list of Forums!

Had this thread been started in Off Topic we might have been spared. It certainly does not involve the subjects of Tech Help.

They're the best part of PeachParts!!

Frank - I no longer tell Peachparts.com which forum to go to. I just open it up, log in (usually automatic), and click on Quick Links. Quick and easy. No need to click into the diesel forum anymore and does show me other interesting threads like questions about ML320s and old SLs. I just do not like to have to sift through all the political threads. I have stopped clicking on New Posts like I have done for ten years now; do not see the need. But as I remember New Posts is also inundated with the political threads.
My
Yep, I just checked New Posts. 16 of the first 30 are not Mercedes related. Will go and look at Site Feedback; do not think I have ever seen it. OK; just looked at it. My Site Feedback did not seem to be arranged as you suggested; or you saying we should post a request there that moderators put political threads at the bottom? Confused.
