W126: Rear hub removal tool / slotted socket
Disassembling the rear hubs on a W126 involves taking off a nut with four slots on it.
I'm wondering about the the work arounds to buying the MB tool for this nut. Can you bash it off with a chisel? Has anybody tried carving a big socket to make it fit the slots? And where can you buy the tool anyway?

you need a baum 915-0207. you will need it because you have to torque the nut to crush the sleeve inside and get the right amount of play. can't do that with a chisel.

Whoa! Sunex rules on price! At that price I stop wondering about cutting up sockets and hitting things with chisels. Thanks very much for that one!
Now to get the axles out...
