OVP Relay
I have a 1988 W124 (300E) and suspect my OVP Relay is bad. When I search for a replacement only 9 pin versions part number 2015403745 come up. The relay that is currently in the car is a 7 pin with part number 2015403245. I can only find those listed for sale used and would prefer to put a new part in. Can this part still be found or are these two parts interchangeable?

OVP Relay
Thanks for the quick reply. That is what I was hoping to hear. Found that the fuse in the one I have was bad. After replacing the fuse, the battery will not hold a charge, so I'm guessing the relay is stuck.

Look at the charging light in the dash is it on all the time ,and never going out when the engine is running ? is it working even with key in the start position without starting the engine ?.Or is it that you have no red or orange light at all showing . No light your bulb-- is shot . On all the time , regulator needs changing in the alternator this job is easy to do . If bulb never shows then the bulb in the console will need replacing .Alternator wont charge if bulb is shot,, the bulb joins the circuit up .
