Thanks to all of y’all’s input

Minus what seems to be a faulty FP relay the car will bust off on its own. It won’t run well yet as it looks like at best I have only 55psi fuel Pressure. I’m about to change one of the fuel pumps.
On another note. As far as the fuel pump relay goes I have removed it and jumped terminals 7 and 8. Seems to work ok for the time being but the fuel pumps run constantly key on. What else do all the pins in the relay do. Is there other controls or such that it controls. Only takes 4 pins for a normal relay to work The way it’s intended. Why do these have 9 pins?

Also, is there a way to shut off fuel flow to the pumps while changing them?

In the service manuals Mother Benz shows a clamp with rounded edges placed on the tank outlet hose to pinch it off.

A half inch drive socket extension did the trick perfectly.👌
