2002 E430 (W210) - Headlight Component Identification
2002 E430 (W210), equipped with factory Xenon headlights.
Each headlight unit has attached to the back of its housing this electronic component, which is equipped with a worm gear drive and a 5 pin wiring harness. Can anyone identify the nature of this component? The vehicle is not equipped with adjustable headlights, there is no headlight adjustment switch on the dash. Any idea as to what this controls? |

i think some of the w210's had the lights that moved when you turn the steering wheel so the lights would 'point' where you were going....not really adjustable but did move

It’s the range adjustment motor. It doesn’t swivel from side to side, only up and down.......
