On my 1987 300D, I seem to have similar problems with the ACC Pushbutton unit. I can press Economy mode and the AC compressor still runs. Also, the unit doesn't always turn off when the button is pressed. Finally, the backlighting seems to work when it wants to...

Any thoughts? If I have to take the unit out and check the solder, does anyone have any removal tips?
