W126 SEC upgraded rear sway bar

Hi, does anyone have a source for a thicker rear sway bar for a 1991 560 SEC? The stock one looks so thin for a car of this size, i have to think the rear end will feel a lot better with a thicker bar, maybe 19 mm? Thanks

Try Benzworld, that's where I purchased a larger sway bar in a group buy for my 300SE. I believe it's 18mm, well worth it. Occasionally the group buy pops up.

Have you increased the front bar? If not I'd leave the rear alone. If the rear bar is too stiff you will find the car will oversteer at the limit, which you do not want on the street. The rear suspension on an SEC is significantly different than an ordinary sedan and the SEC is a pretty nimble car for its size which is more like a 124 in size compared to a 126.

If you want to stiffen it back there I suggest investing in a set of Koni adjustable shocks.
