Fuel pressure test gauge connections on 76 450 SL

Hi All,
I know this topic has been covered extensively on the forums but I want to make sure that I have my fuel pressure gauge connected correctly as I'm getting 0 on the gauge with the fuel pump running. I connected it to the WUR (with shut off side facing WUR) to the fuel distributor in place of the hard metal fuel line. The reason I'm testing fuel pressure is because the car ONLY runs when I push down on the air intake flap while someone else cranks it over. I tried to attach photos of my fuel gauge connections but the site isn't uploading them. Thanks in advance! Dave

What is the history of the highlighted problem? Developed slowly over time? Sudden onset?
