For some reason I have a situation that is getting worse and worse. When I start the engine the RPM flairs up sometimes over 3500RPM. The video shows to flaring toe 2500, but about 20% of the time it will go to 3500RPM. Not a good way to start a cold engine. I'm thinking possibly gummed up throttle shaft reacting slowly. Can anyone recommend a throttle shaft lube that wont interfere with any of the sensors. Any other ideas as to what could cause this?
This engine is from a 1996 SL600. My 1999 SL600 stays below 1000 RPM.
