My MB E320 W210 1998 complete original car!!
 

Hi hope you guys can help!

I can only described it as a noise sounding like a vacuum cleaner which happens when I put the car under acceleration.
Once its gone through the gear cycle it settles down.

I have various theories about possible causes but I’d be grateful for any forum input!

My MB is sitting on 132000 miles and is my daily driver.

Check the air intake system for leakage.

also check electric smog pump ( depending on local laws, mines unplugged), transmission dirty filters, can make trans sound like trying to stuff, large breast in mouth and sucking.
