1988 300SE fault code w/o reader.
 

Working on a 1988 300SE. I have found videos on the web that show how to pull the trouble / fault codes without a code reader. In the videos, they point out on a small pin base with a push button that you are to push and a LED will flash the code to you.


Well I just went out and checked, and my car has the socket but no little button and no LED. Does anyone know how to get the codes with out the button and LED?
