1990 420sel what is this engine part
I was trying to diagnose my cold start issues and noticed this sensor of some sort. It sits directly in front of the air cleaner assembly and it appears to be 2 vacuum lines going to it with one broken off. I tried looking it up on MBEPC and I "THINK" it might be part # A 000 140 71 60 (thermo vacuum valve). I am not sure though. Any help would be appreciated.

It is a thermo vacuum valve. There are two of them.
One is in the evaporative vapor purge circuit, the other in the EGR circuit. |

Thank you. I'm wondering if this can be related to the rough cold start I'm having? I doubt it but can be hopeful lol

Plug the vacuum lines; that will simulate a cold condition (when the valve is closed).
