Should I take it in to the shop for these small grievances? (new owner)
Hey all, I just got my first MB last month (2022 C300c, w205) and I'm absolutely in love with it. Probably a MB driver for life now.
But there's two small things that are driving me crazy and I can't tell if it's all in my head or not. The memory seat automatically resetting to M1: It doesn't. It remembers my M1 position because when I hold M1 it adjusts my seat and steering wheel. However, when I get into my car (i'm the only driver) my seat moves backwards and forwards because I have easy entry enabled, but when it moves forward after I'm sitting down, it never moves all the way back into the M1 spot. I always have to hold M1 to put my seat completely in the M1 saved position. Shouldn't it automatically default to M1 every time? Every few days I have to re-adjust my rearview mirror. It'll always end up pointing down and I have to adjust it back up. It has a very firm placement when I move it, so it seems highly unlikely that it just slumps over time, but it's a weird thing that I have to adjust every few days when I feel like it shouldn't be necessary. So anyway, my question is, should I bring it into the dealer and have these looked at? Thanks ahead of time! |

This is however programmable but will require you to either have a very deep level scan tool or a dealer tool to initialize and relearn the seat and steering position limits, then under convenience the easy entry enabled again and finally the key memory for seat/convenience reset again. The rear view mirror slumping down is usually a post effect of vigorous detailing job which allows a conditioning liquid to get into the ball area. |
