Exterior Gutter Trim Confusion
Hi everyone. I am in the midst of a full cosmetic rebuild on my w123 wagon. It was previously painted and I need to address some small surface rust issues under the gutter trim, as well as fix some problems with the trim itself.
What I am confused about most is this gutter trim. It looks to me like when it was removed for a previous paint job it was damaged. I found a thread (attached) on how to properly remove it, however it doesn't specify a way to remove it without damaging the trim. I have found a donor wagon with the trim piece I need, but should I even bother trying to take it if I can't remove this trim damage free? Would I be best off just trying to straighten the trim piece that is damaged? How can you go about fixing or replacing this trim if you can't take it off a donor car without damaging it? Let me know what you all think! https://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/296348-w123-exterior-trim-removal.html
