W108 windscreen install

Hi all, is it necessary to install the trim on the seal and window prior to placing the window on the opening? I know about the rope and added hands to help. Just not sure about how difficult it is to add the aluminum trim after the installation.

Install the trim First : ( some do it after However )
Place the Glass on the opening "rubber on the glass" and spend some time centering the Glass / Install the Bottom Lip first > Wipe with a rag some runner lube on the Rubber all around the remaining yet uninstalled Rubber and begin Top Center pulling the Rubber in with the Rope / I use 2 Rope's to pull one in each direction /Keep Pressure and Tap the Glass and rubber in as you go > The rear Windshield is much harder from corrner curve
