1991 350 sdl nothing works on the guage cluster
 

Got a nice 350sdl but can't seem to get the gauges to work at all.
The lights across the bottom work. like the abs light etc.
but no gauges at all. odometer doesn't work either.

Does anyone know any common reasons for this? I'll try a few more things but if I can't get it, I'm going to sell it as is or part it out.

Just a guess........
 

1) Check the fuses. Change them all out to the new copper ones. The old metal pitted ones might LOOK fine, but they're sometimes NOT fine.

2) Maybe the dash instruments are not grounded or the ground wire has calcified and needs to be cleaned off.
