retro fit kit for a/c compressor
 

I replaced my a/c compressor in my 85 300 TD. I purchased a new R-4 compressor and rec. dry. The instructions for the retrofit kit on the new compressor were inadequate. It showed every configuration for the mainfold except the stepped ports. I called the guy who sold it to me and he told me to use the yellow (or large brass seal) for the suction and the green one for the discharge. I did exactly that and there is a leak at that green seal (discharge side). Someone else said to use the shorter of the to sleeves in the kit with the green seal. Has anyone done this before? If you have I could use some guidance. Thanks.
