Hot air
Can someone tell me why hot air coming out the vents when the car is first started up? It only lasts for a few seconds, then the air turns cold. Is there something I can do to correct that?

I would guess that it is just the hot air that kinda/sorta accumulates in the ducting underneath the dash clearing out.
