W124 Drivers Door not closing tightly enough
Hi -
Had light body work done on the car that involved taking off the drivers side door handle assembly. Now that door no longer closes tightly. I am getting wind noise and the opening and closing feels differently than all the other doors (not that typical W124 thud!). Any way to adjust the door to make it close more tightly? 1990 e300 Thanks! Tim |

This was counter-intuitive to me but learned it on a TD tailgate...sometimes the latch on the pillar is in too far which causes only the primary latch to engage. I found the latch had to be moved outward to get the secondary latch to engage. If you move the latch start by marking its current location and DON'T remove the screws only unsnug them and tap the latch to move it.

@Sugar Bear that is good advice and makes sense to me. I'll give it a nudge outward and see if that creates the tighter closure.
