brake light comes on
when stopping car ubruptly or on sharp turns brake light comes on momentarily and goes off immediately.... any ideas what to look for and where??looks like hand brake switch going bad ?....

I would check the brake fluid level, maybe it is around the min line and the hard cornering and braking is pushing the remaining fluid away from the level sensor, thus causing the light to come on.

Put your foot under the emergency pedal and push up on the pedal. There should be no play. If there is get under the car where the emergency cable splits out to the rear wheels and take up a couple of turns on the adjusting bolt. Just fixed mine yesterday.
Still sounds like low fluid. But thats another possibility. John Olszewski |

Yup, I agree with the others, probably low brake fluid... check the level!
