95 E320 Wagon rear brakes - no parts available...

Why is it so hard to find critical parts for these W124s?

It's been discussed in a few (older) threads that the late W124 wagons had a split in rear brake config. The 94-early 95 wagons had vented rear rotors. The later 95 had solid.

Either way, the pad pins and retainer springs are NLA. and mine were toast. So I can't seem to get my son's car back on the road. Went to the junkyard to search for every other MB car to see if they had matching hardware. R129, W140, W210... everything was different. And W124 wagons are rarely ever seen in the yards around me.

I've even emailed ATE about this, hoping for a reply.

It's just getting more and more frustrating with the random crap that MB has chosen to NLA and aftermarket isn't picking up.

All of those parts my dealer said were NLA, no parts in NA or Germany. And when I search by vehicle, non of the parts sites show them.

Pelican may say they are Genuine MB and available for special order, but MB parts inventory says different.

So you have the vented disks...The above # are valid.

You need these:

These are parts of kits ATE 13.0460-0236.2 (a.k.a ATE 610236 ) ...or TRW PFK602 (google them ,a certain FL three letter company have both in stock, ~$22 shipped .Sorry no trade links allowed on this site) .

Thanks, I have one set coming from Rock that I believe is correct, but I will order from there if it isn't.

So, I got ATE kit 610236 and these are not for the early 95 rear calipers. They actually fit the 400E rear brakes I have on the shelf, that I thought about putting on this car, but don't have rebuild kits for.

So, now I think I'll get the seals and just rebuild the bigger 400E brakes and use these ATE clips and pins.

I do appreciate the help, but the 95 wagon is proving to be a finicky itch.
