Trailer hitch drawing or plans
 

Dear friends: I need to install a trailer hitch on my 1989 190 D. It is to pull a small boat. Since I live in Argentina I have to make the hinch myself (actually with a friend that does this things for regular cars).
If anyone has a drawing or plans with some instructions on how is the best way to make it for the particular vehicle, I will greatly appreciate it.

I had one installed at my local hitch shop. All I can say is they took off the back bumper and welded a big piece of metal on. The hitch (reciever) is right below the bumper, they cut a perfect size hole through the cladding.

They sell several different trailer hitches for most all cars including MB. For each different hitch they sell, you can download a .pdf of the installation instructions. Perhaps some of those installation sheets would give you some ideas you could use to fabricate a hitch from local materials.
