Main wiring harness problems. W124
 

The wiring harness problems experiences by many 124 owners were the subject of several SAFETY RECALL over the years, as far back as 1989.
Isn't true that safety recalls MUST be honored by the manufacturer, without limitation in terms of time or mileage???

yes, by law they are supposed to address recalls with a statute of limitation of 8 yrs if i recall correctly. unfortunately, the wiring harness problem is not the one that you see in the recalls listed...
