The hood pad on my 87 300E is worn out and I would like to know if it is worth replacing. Does it actually protect the paint or not? Also, if it does protect the paint, I will replace it, but where is a good place to purchase one? Other than my MB dealer? How much should I expect to pay? Also, if I replace it what should I use to remove the left over residue from the old one? Thanks in advance.

We are always happy to help you. However, this topic has come up before. The solution/fix is discussed in detail in the Shop Forum archives. (search function at top right of page)
Hope this helps...Lee |
