The clock in my 86 300E suddenly stopped working. The fuse is fine, though. Any help would be appreciated!

There is a wire connected to the rear that has come off on occasion. Also the capacitors in the clock fail often.

Does it not work at all? Sometimes? Just for kicks - check the fuse contacts for grunge, corrosion, rust or any other debris. Stores like Radio Shack (maybe others?) carry contact/terminal cleaners. Use with a soft cloth!! Nothing too abrasive. Good luck. Stephen Davis 1988 300E 90k miles |
I had a similar problem on my 126 300sd...was related to the time-set knob sticking on occasion (so that the clock was in time-setting mode). Anyway, I sprayed the switch with lubriccant and it started working since.
