Limited Slip Differential on w123d?

Hi,

Does anyone know whether LSD (Limited Slip Differential) was standard on the 1984 300d (w123d)? I would have thought it was but my car slides like hell in the wet when turning and accelerating. (Don't think it's a tyre problem - he rears still have about a 3 milimetre tread on them.)
