HVAC Blower Motor Removal

Hi,

Does anybody know where I can find a description on the removal of the HVAC blower motor on my 86 300E

The blower started squealing a few months ago, but now it’s getting much worse. I think it’s time to replace it.

Thanks in advance

Joe

DO a search!

I'd seen some pictures with the procedure somewhere on this site?

Thanks,

I’ve searched using blower removal & fan removal.

Neither returned results I could use, they discussed specific problems.

I need a description from start to finish, I know it’s under the dash somewhere but have no idea how to access it.

Any other suggestions for a search?

Look on page 2 of the thread:

I got as far as looking at the cover to the blower motor, but I've found that you just unclip the cover, and the blower motor sort of snaps in and just rests in there and there is a simple plug that you pull apart, and voila, it's comes right out.

Thank you very much.

That’s exactly what I was looking for.
